How to Decorate a Folding Table With Tulle

Tulle is a popular fabric for decorations because it is sheer, light and airy and comes in a wide variety of colors. Tulle is often an inexpensive fabric choice. When you are throwing a party or an event and you have to use folding tables, you may want to decorate them as they are not so attractive on their own. Use tulle to transform those tables and give them a soft and romantic look. Does this Spark an idea?

Cover a folding table with a tablecloth in a color that coordinates with the colors you are using to decorate the party space.

Secure the tablecloth in place with pieces of double-sided tape. The tulle decorations could be heavy, so using the tape will make sure the tulle does not pull the tablecloth to one side.

Measure the length around the top of the folding table. Cut a piece of tulle that is about double that amount.

Pin one end of the tulle to a corner of the tablecloth. Place the pin underneath the tablecloth and pin from the underside so that only a small part of the straight pin will show.

Drape the tulle so it hangs down like a swag. You can drape the tulle only a small amount, or about halfway down the table, depending on your preference.

Pin the tulle to the next corner the same way you did at the first corner.

Continue draping and pinning the tulle all around the edges of the table until you reach the original corner. Trim away any excess tulle.
