How to Stop Nail Polish From Pooling Along Cuticle

Manicures, pedicures and facials can be wonderful treatments for the body. While they can be expensive at a salon, it can be easy and fun to do these treatments at home. Manicures are especially simple. Purchase good nail polish, cuticle remover and an emery board. With these tools and a bit of patience, youre ready to give yourself a professional-looking manicure. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Apply cuticle remover to each nail and leave on for two to three minutes. Remove the cream completely with soap and water.

    2

Push each cuticle down, gently, using a cuticle pusher.

    3

Shake the nail polish vigorously. Paint a stripe of nail polish on a piece of glossy paper, ascertaining whether it's fluid enough. If the polish is excessively thick, discard it.

    4

Dip the nail polish brush into the container. Drag the brush over the lip of the container so the polish remains on one side of the brush.

    5

Place the hand that you are painting on a flat surface, such as a table or counter.

    6

Apply nail polish to the center of the fingernail first, and then up toward the nail tip.

    7

Apply nail polish to the base of the nail last, carefully dabbing the brush by the cuticle area.

    8

Keep the hand flat until the nail polish has dried.
