How to Clean a Plastic Top Folding Table

Folding tables often take a lot of abuse, especially when they are used as a card table or a craft table for children. Keeping the plastic clean and free from stains can prove difficult even for the most diligent homemaker. Stains on folding tables may need special attention when you cannot remove them with common household cleaners. You can use a few household products not normally thought of as cleaners with amazing results. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Wet a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and clean the table. Use clean water and a sponge to remove dirt. Dry the surface with a clean dry cloth.

    2

Dampen a cotton ball with alcohol to remove ink marks. Wash the top with clean water to remove the alcohol, and dry with a clean cloth.

    3

Pour hydrogen peroxide on a clean cloth or sponge to clean the plastic. Lay the cloth or sponge over the stains that are stubborn so that you can treat them longer. Check the results after 30 minutes. When the stain is gone, wash with water, and dry with a clean cloth.

    4

Dampen a cotton ball with mineral spirits to clean felt tip markers off the tabletop. Wash the top with water, and dry with a clean cloth.

    5

Apply ice to chewing gum that has hardened on the tabletop. Gently peel off the gum.
