How to Remove White Marks From Wood Table Tops

How to Remove White Marks From Wood Table Tops

White marks left on wood table tops primarily occur when the condensation from beverage glasses leak onto the table. As the water evaporates, it leaves behind a whitish ring or mark. The mark adheres tightly to the wood, making ordinary cleaning useless when attempting to remove it. Remove white marks with certain products to restore the beauty of the wood. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Wipe dust from the wood table top with a clean cloth.

    2

Apply 1 tsp. of mayonnaise to the white mark. Using a clean damp cloth, rub the mayonnaise firmly into the white stain. After rubbing for one minute, wipe the mayonnaise from the table with a damp cloth.

    3

Squeeze a fingertip amount of a non-gel toothpaste onto any remaining white marks on the table top. Rub the toothpaste into the white marks with a damp cloth using rotating motions. Rub the entire mark for two to three minutes, then wipe clean with a damp cloth. Dry the wood table top with a lint-free cloth.

    4

Spray a furniture polish over the wood table after removing the white marks. Wipe the polish into the wood with a lint-free cloth.
