How to Clean a Veneer Tabletop

How to Clean a Veneer Tabletop

Veneer tabletops are made by covering inexpensive wood with an attractive printed layer that replicates authentic hardwood. This provides an attractive wood look without the high price tag often associated with natural hardwood furniture. To keep your tabletop looking its best, use a homemade solution that removes all buildup without leaving behind a film or harming the veneer. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups of water and 1 cup of white vinegar.

    2

Mist the cleaner onto a cleaning rag and wipe over the veneer surface. The vinegar removes residue and disinfects without harming the veneer. Remember to spray the solution onto the rag instead of directly onto the tabletop, as you don't want to over-saturate the veneer.

    3

Spray a furniture polish onto a cleaning rag and wipe across the veneer if you want a polished gloss look.
