How to Fold Cafeteria Tables

Cafeteria tables are large rectangular, square or circular tables that are designed to seat many students at once. They are usually constructed of plastic and metal for durability and ease of cleaning. Because school cafeterias are often used for other events, cafeteria tables must be easy to fold and store for quick removal. For this reason, the legs attached to the bottom of folding tables usually open and close with the push of a button. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Position yourself at one side of the cafeteria table and have another person stand at the other side of the table.

    2

Grasp the edges of the table and turn it over so that it is upside down. Place the table top flat on the floor.

    3

Look at the bottom of one of the table legs where it attaches to the table. There should be a small lever or tab near the base of the leg. Push in on the tab to unlock the leg of the table. Some table legs have locks that slide up and down rather than pressing in, while others have clasps that are pushed upward. Although locking mechanisms vary by manufacturer, they are all designed in a very simple manner so it should not be difficult to release the locking mechanism.

    4

Fold the leg down until it is flat against the bottom of the table.

    5

Repeat the process of unlocking and folding the remaining table legs.
