There are many ways to save money while putting together pieces of creative home furniture, such as making a coffee table using other household pieces. Think outside the box to make this one-of-a-kind coffee table; you will save money while making a stand out piece for the center of your living room. You will be delighted when you have house guests that ask, "Where did you get that beautiful coffee table?" and you can respond, "I threw it together myself!" Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Decide on the color scheme and layout for your living room. Measure the designated space where your coffee table will go.

    2

Purchase two to four foot stools that match, depending on how much space you have available for the table. You push the foot stools together to form the base of the table.

    3

Find a wall mirror that is close to the size of the foot stools pushed together. Keep color scheme in mind while picking out a mirror. The mirror lays on top of the foot stools to create a hard top.

    4

Look at throws to add texture and color to your coffee table. It goes underneath the mirror; the corners of the throw hang out on the side of the foot stools.

    5

Push the foot stools together in your living room. Place the throw across the foot stools and lay the mirror on top of the throw.
