Cheap Fall Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

Cheap Fall Wedding Centerpiece Ideas

Fall is a beautiful time of year-- perfect for weddings. The colors of fall are a great inspiration for fall wedding centerpieces. The beautiful shades or red, orange, and yellow give the table a warm feeling that stands out naturally on its own or while basking in candlelight. To create inexpensive centerpieces, utilize low-cost, natural ingredients. Find these elements at your local grocery store or even outside in your backyard. It doesnt take a lot of money to create pretty fall centerpieces; all you need is your imagination.

Fruit

Fruit is a quirky, innovative centerpiece idea. Fill a bowl or vase with red, green, and yellow apples, pears, oranges, or even limes. Make a practice centerpiece ahead of time using the fruit of your choice. Because fruit spoils quickly, wait until one or two days before the wedding to construct the centerpieces completely. If you are using an opaque bowl or vase, use Styrofoam as filler and only put the fruit on the top to save money. Also, substitute real glass or metal bowls with plastic bowls found at most discount stores. Fall fruits, such as pumpkins and gourds, can also be used for centerpieces. Cut a pumpkin in half, hollow it out, and use the pumpkin itself as a bowl. Or, use a cornucopia filled with fall fruits, allowing the fruits to spill out on the table.

Coffee Beans

The brown color of coffee beans make them great fillers for centerpieces. Buy coffee beans in bulk at places such as Costco or Sams Club for a discounted price. Fill clear glasses, vases, or bowls with coffee beans and place a fall-colored candle on top. Top coffee beans with the fruits mentioned above, or top them with silk fall flowers, such as chrysanthemums or sunflowers. Add a few cranberries or other red berries to the vase or bowl, or sprinkle them around outside to add another splash of color to the centerpiece.

Nature

Nature is a great inspiration for fall centerpieces. Spread pretty colored leaves along a table runner, and add a vase or bowl full of pinecones. Instead of using flowers for your centerpiece, fill a tall vase with a collection of twigs and vines. Wrap a fall-colored bow around the middle of the twigs or around the vase to add a splash of color. Use any combination of these natural elements to make your table a fall masterpiece.
