How to Combine Two Tablecloths for a Large Table Display

If you're planning to host a party that will involve a buffet-style food table, that table will probably be longer than most tablecloths. Using a long display table (or pushing two tables together) makes it easier for guests to see the different food selections available and enables guests to serve themselves in an orderly fashion. Decorating a long table is easy with two matching tablecloths and a runner that will keep guests focused on the food display and having a good time. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Drape the first tablecloth over one half of the long table, making sure the tablecloth hangs evenly over each long edge.

    2

Drape the second tablecloth over the second half of the table, making sure the long edges match the first tablecloth. Don't worry if there is a slight gap in the middle where the two tablecloths meet. Also make sure both tablecloths hang over the short ends evenly.

    3

Lay the table runner across the table width-wise in the center so that it covers the place where the 2 tablecloths meet and effectively disguises the fact that you used two tablecloths to cover the long table.
